Product Description
TTech-ENV1187 is a tester designed base on BS EN 13501-5 and ENV 1187 for roof material performance determination when expose to external fire. There are four test methods to assess the performance of roofs under the following conditions:
ØTest 1 - with burning brands
ØTest 2 - with burning brands and wind
ØTest 3 - with burning brands, wind and supplementary radiant heat.
ØTest 4 - with two stages incorporating burning brands, wind and supplementary radiant heat.

Apparatus
Radiant panel assembly
4 radiant panel with 300mm x 300mm surface size;
2. Main frame
Mounting the radiant panel array, and make it can be adjusted to support a angle of 45° or horizontal to simulate the actual practice;
3. Air Flow Meter
For each panel, the air and gas flow are controlled by two flow meters, they are adjustable to achieve the required heat flux;
4. Sample holder
The test sample is placed in a Sample Holder which is placed on the Specimen Cover and an air seal is created;
Sample holder is made of stainless steel;
5. Specimen cover
The Specimen Cover can be adjusted and supported at an angle of 45° or horizontal;
A viewing window is designed in the Specimen Cover, then the bottom side of the sample can be viewed during the test ;
6. Trolley and guide rail
The specimen cover is placed on a trolley which can be moved in the test;
The height of the specimen also can be adjusted by trolley;
7. Burner brand
Diameter: 9.5mm±0.1mm;
Flame length: 230mm±10mm;
Simulate a flame of burning brand;
8. Calibration assembly
Calcium Silicate board with frame, can be mounted on the specimen cover to provide correct calibrate location;
9. Suck box
The Suction Box Assembly is connected to the Specimen Cover with a Suction Hose to simulate the effect of ‘wind’. A pressure reduction on the underside of the sample is established and controlled using the Inclined Tube Manometer and Speed Controller Assembly mounted on the Dual Diverter Stand.
10. Control system
PC with LabView based control software;
All parameters in test can be viewed via digital and graph display;
All data can in test process can be recorded and saved accordingly;
11. Gas cabinet
Gas cabinet is designed electrical separation from control cabinet for safety;
12. Heat flux meter
A 25mm diameter Schmidt Boelter heat flux meter with a range of 0-50KW/m²;
A cooling system with cooling pump, water tank, flow indicator, is installed to support the heat flux meter cooling;
13. Exhaust system (optional)
Hood: 3m x 3m, stainless steel;
Duct: 400mm diameter exhaust duct;
Exhaust capacity: 3.5m³/s;
